I am so delighted to be coming back to St. Joseph’s! I am a mother of three incredible, grown children who have all attended St. Jo’s. Tori, Lysa, and Christopher are the caring, confident individuals they are because of their time at St. Joseph’s School. It feels great to be able to give back to a community that has given so much to my family through the years. Lysa and Christopher went on to college and have pursued STEM degrees. Tori is in the process of attaining her Master in Sociology Degree.
I hope to convey to all my students’ parents how much I will care for, educate, challenge, and cultivate confidence in your children because you have entrusted your children to me and I take my job very seriously. I have been an educator since 1997, working with students (2nd – 12th grade) in various capacities and various subjects (math, science, English, social studies, and taekown do). Interesting fact about my three children and myself: We are all taekwon do blackbelts of varying degrees. I instructed and owned a taekwon do business for 13 years right here in the Snoqualmie Valley! I have had training and experience in motivating, cultivating self-esteem, and fostering accountability. As my three children began to go off to college, I made the decision to return to school as I wanted to be an educator in a school environment. I earned my B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies (K-8). My passions are, and always have been, math and science.
I enjoy reading, skiing, snowboarding, cycling, hiking, and spending time with family. As you can tell, I love the outdoors! I have been married for 27 years to an incredible man! I am sure you will be meeting my husband, Chris! We have two small dogs; a miniature dachshund named Shatzi and a chihuahua mix named Thai.
I have been a parishioner at Holy Innocents for 22 years. Faith has always guided my life and I believe it has led me back to St. Joseph’s.
